The New York Times has discontinued their mobile app for the Blackberry platform.

The newspaper company said that the app did not have enough users to justify further development.

Blackberry users would now have to rely on the mobile web app or third party apps to get their news from NYTimes.com.

The New York Times however said that they would reconsider developing an app for Blackberry devices once Blackberry 10 based devices are launched in the market.

RIM is scheduled to launch BB10 devices later this year or early next.
