YouTube has revealed some statistics about the Red Bull Stratos Mission which saw Felix Baumgartner jumping from the edge of the space and landing safely using a parachute.
The feed was being watched by more than 8 million web users at one point of time. It is a pretty huge record for the company.
The jump resulted in creation of three different world records:
Highest jump from a platform: 128,100 feet
Longest distance free-fall: 119,846 feet
Maximum vertical velocity: 833.9 mph (Mach 1.24)
He could not however beat the record for the longest free fall. YouTube said:
We congratulate Felix Baumgartner and the entire Red Bull Stratos team for their successful mission, and for creating a live stream with the most concurrent views ever on YouTube.
