YouTube partners can now use their real names on their channels

Google has rolled out another update on their YouTube platform. This one is aimed at YouTube Partners.

They can now opt-in to use their real name from their Google+ Profile for their YouTube account.

This comes handy for folks who started a YouTube channel with an obscure handle but they want to switch to their real identity.

YouTube said:

Opting in allows you to replace your username with your Google+ profile name (spaces included!), replace your photo with any you’ve uploaded, and include a direct link to your profile. This provides you with a seamless way to connect with and be discovered by your audience across YouTube and Google.

Google further said that they plan to add support for Google+ Pages too in the future.
