ZTE has probably become the first Android smartphone maker to release the Android 4.2 update for any of their smartphone model.

Until now, Android 4.2 has been officially available for only the Nexus branded devices which are supported by Google directly.

ZTE is now rolling out this update for their ZTE N880E smartphone which was launched with Android 4.1.

ZTE N880E was incidentally one of the first non-Nexus device in the market to feature the Jelly Bean edition of Google Android platform.

This just goes on to show how bad Samsung and HTC are at rolling out latest Android releases even on their flagship devices.
