Nokia N9 could have sold 1.4 million units last quarter!

Nokia as we already know did not reveal the sales figures of their MeeGo based N9 smartphone model.

This is a pretty good indication that the phone did well! Nokia has been trying very hard to justify their decision to ditch MeeGo for Windows Phone.

The company spent a lot of time highlighting the fact that they sold more than 1 million units of Windows Phone powered Lumia branded smartphones.

Industry analysts believe that N9 could have done exceptionally well for a model that was launched in very few markets with little to no publicity.

Nokia N9 could have sold 1.4 million units last quarter!

In fact, it could have outsold the two Lumia branded devices that are on sale in the market today.

Pareto Oehman analyst Helena Nordman-Knutson in fact said in a report that according their estimates Nokia N9 might have seen sales of 1.4 million units in the last quarter!

If this figure is made public, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop would find it very hard to counter the PR nightmare.
